Ex-Holland defender Jaap Stam has backed new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag to lead the Devils well, but has pointed out that the board must also fully support him.
The downfall of the “Red Devils” with the arrival of Ten Hag has once again given fans hope that the ufabet team can return to the top of the country again. After being inferior to both Manchester City and Liverpool, including Chelsea for almost a decade.
Stam enjoyed great success during his time at Old Trafford, especially in 1999 in the ‘triple-champion’ outfit Sheer Ten Hag. That will go well with the team, but the board has to support in the buy-sell market as well.
“We all know what he can do with what he did at Holland and Ajax, hopefully he can do the same with United now,” Stam told The Guardian.
“Clearly there is a need to help him. Maybe in terms of different players and staff. But I think he did well in Holland.”
“In Holland we always say that every player in every position has to be able to play football. Therefore, the centre-back must be able to dribble the ball forward. To add people to the midfield, to pass the ball, we try to teach the players to the team how to do it.”
“At United, one of Fergie’s qualities is to dance some talented players who can do good in their position. If the players get along well You have the opportunity to do better.”
“He has the right players for the right position.”
